Welcome to the Step Ahead Driver Intervention Program, a dedicated provider of DUI and OVI education in Northeastern Ohio since 2002. Our comprehensive 72-hour program focuses on first-time offenders and those facing charges related to Physical Control and Reckless Operation. Held over a weekend from Thursday to Sunday, our sessions begin with check-in at 5 PM on Thursday, followed by an orientation to introduce participants to program policies and schedules.

The educational experience includes classroom sessions conducted in hotel conference rooms, starting each day at 9 AM. Participants engage with a variety of learning methods, including lectures, visual aids, literature, and videos. The curriculum covers critical topics such as the physical effects of alcohol and drugs, the nature of addiction, and the legal ramifications of OVI offenses in Ohio. Each weekend features guest speakers, including local attorneys and members of Alcoholics Anonymous, who provide valuable insights and answer participants' questions.

We strive to create a welcoming atmosphere with catered meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner from local restaurants. Our program not only educates individuals on the dangers of impaired driving but also emphasizes the social consequences of substance abuse, offering alternatives to drinking and driving. Join us for an informative and transformative weekend aimed at fostering awareness and promoting safer driving practices in our community.
