The Mansfield UMADAOP offers certified Driver Intervention Programs (DIP) recognized by the Ohio Department of Alcohol & Drug Addiction Services (ODADAS). These programs are designed to provide effective alternatives to incarceration for individuals facing alcohol-related offenses. The 72-hour residential program caters to first-time and repeat offenders, providing a structured environment in a local motel. Participants receive all meals and engage in small group discussions, educational presentations, and view informative DVDs focused on behavioral changes essential for preventing future offenses. This immersive experience promotes accountability and personal growth.
Additionally, a 22-hour non-residential DIP is conducted at the UMADAOP office, offering flexibility for those who may not require residential treatment. Both programs adhere to state screening, education, and discussion standards, ensuring a comprehensive approach to intervention and support. The professional staff involved in these programs are credentialed and committed to delivering quality education and resources to participants.
Affordability is a key feature of the UMADAOP’s programs, with the 72-hour residential program priced at $500 and the 22-hour non-residential option available for $400. By participating in these programs, individuals can gain the tools necessary to make informed choices and reduce the likelihood of future offenses, ultimately fostering safer communities and healthier lifestyles.
