Behavioral Health provides essential support for County residents grappling with severe mental health and addiction issues, including those with developmental disabilities. The department prioritizes Oregon Health Plan (OHP) members, uninsured residents, and individuals in crisis, ensuring they receive timely and appropriate care. By coordinating with the State Hospital and other facilities, Behavioral Health aims to address immediate needs, alleviate community challenges, and promote overall well-being, ultimately reducing the need for more intensive and costly interventions.

Services are available to individuals with OHP or most private insurance plans, and those without insurance may receive care based on their ability to pay. Referrals to additional community programs are also provided as needed.

The Adult Outpatient Services offer a comprehensive approach to mental health care, integrating treatment for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. The program, which emphasizes a holistic approach to recovery, includes individual, family, and group counseling, along with specialized services such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), EMDR, and pain management. Additional services include bilingual support, psychiatric medication management, and coordination with primary care providers. Peer support services, vocational and employment support, and perinatal mental health care further enhance the program’s ability to meet diverse needs. Overall, Behavioral Health is dedicated to improving quality of life and facilitating access to continued care and community connections.
