The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde Behavioral Health Program (CTGR-BHP) is dedicated to delivering culturally appropriate and comprehensive behavioral health services to Native families. As a fully integrated outpatient program licensed by the State of Oregon, CTGR-BHP employs a holistic approach to provide a range of services, including assessments, referrals to residential and outpatient treatment programs, individual, group, and family therapy, crisis intervention, peer support, and aftercare services.
The program begins with a formal assessment to determine clients' needs for counseling or referral. Clients meeting the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) II R criteria for outpatient services receive psycho-education on substance use and mental health evaluations for psychotherapy and medication management. The process involves a detailed clinical and psycho-social interview, psychometric testing, and the development of a treatment plan. Following the assessment, clients are either referred to specialized treatment or start a regular schedule of alcohol and drug treatment or mental health counseling.
CTGR-BHP offers level I alcohol and drug treatment, mental health counseling for conditions such as depression and anxiety, and dual-diagnosis treatment for co-occurring disorders. Psychiatric monitoring and medication management are provided three times a week. The program emphasizes a culturally sensitive approach, integrating tribal spirituality and cultural awareness into its comprehensive behavioral health services.
