At BAFS, we employ biopsychosocial methods for assessment and treatment planning, integrating cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, 12-step, and developmental models of recovery. Our client-centered approach emphasizes the spiritual and diverse cultural aspects of recovery, ensuring that treatment is tailored to each individual's needs.
We adopt a trauma-informed approach based on key principles outlined by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), focusing on safety, trustworthiness, transparency, peer support, collaboration, mutuality, and empowerment. Our staff and environments exemplify cultural humility and inclusivity, creating a supportive and respectful atmosphere for all clients.
Our treatment methodologies include Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy, and Seeking Safety. Additionally, we use Contingency Management (CM), an incentive-based program that encourages positive behavior through rewards. According to the latest SAMHSA TIP 33, CM is identified as the most effective approach for treating stimulant dependence, surpassing other methods.
At BAFS, we are committed to providing comprehensive, evidence-based treatment that empowers individuals on their journey to recovery, fostering a sense of safety, trust, and mutual respect.
