FTHRA DUI and Defensive Driving School offers specialized courses designed to promote safer driving and fulfill court-mandated requirements. The school provides two primary programs: a 12-hour DUI course and Defensive Driving courses in both 4-hour and 8-hour formats. The DUI course, based on the evidence-based "Prime for Life" curriculum, challenges attitudes toward high-risk alcohol and drug use and is certified by the Tennessee Department of Mental Health. Classes are available in Johnson City, Mountain City, and Greeneville, TN. The Defensive Driving courses, certified by the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security, are available only in Johnson City.

Both programs are designed to help reduce accidents, encourage responsible driving, and ensure participants meet legal obligations. To register, applicants must visit the CCI office in person, with registration open Monday through Friday. The DUI course costs $255, while Defensive Driving classes are priced at $50 for the 4-hour course and $95 for the 8-hour course. Payment must be made in advance, with no cash or personal checks accepted.

With experienced instructors and a supportive, judgment-free environment, FTHRA offers flexible scheduling, affordable pricing, and payment plans to ensure everyone can access these valuable programs. Completion of the courses results in certification as required by Tennessee state law. Whether mandated by the court or undertaken voluntarily, these programs provide participants with the knowledge and tools needed to become safer, more responsible drivers.
