The Adult Court Services Department ensures that misdemeanant offenders comply with General Sessions Court orders by offering comprehensive supervision, intervention, and treatment services aimed at promoting public safety and accountability. The department is divided into three key service areas: Adult Probation Services, Intervention Services, and Adult Drug Court Services. It employs a dedicated team of full-time staff and part-time contractors, including probation officers, case managers, facilitators, and a director. This team supervises approximately 1,200 probationers each month and has collected over $4 million in fines, restitution, and fees since 2003, including significant funds returned to victims.

Adult Probation Services focuses on supervising offenders to ensure they complete their probationary terms successfully. The department also offers case management, drug testing, job readiness classes, and other community services. Intervention Services provide educational and group programs designed to help offenders understand and avoid criminal behavior. These programs include DUI education, domestic violence intervention, anger management, and relapse prevention.

The Adult Drug Court Program offers intensive supervision, treatment referrals, and job placement services to help participants recover from addiction and reduce incarceration costs. The program follows a structured four-phase progression and collaborates with community partners to provide ongoing support for participants and their families. The overarching goal of the department is to reduce recidivism and support offenders in making lasting positive changes.
