Temperance Academy LLC

The Temperance Academy offers a state-approved program designed for individuals convicted of alcohol or drug-related offenses, including DUI, reckless driving, or reckless endangerment. The academy provides the Prime for Life Alcohol/Drug Risk Reduction/Prevention Classes, a 12-hour educational course mandated by the State of Tennessee for DUI offenders. Participants who have an out-of-state license may be required to complete additional hours, which should be confirmed with their attorney. The Prime for Life program, licensed by the Tennessee Department of Health, aims to help individuals reduce their risk and prevent alcohol and drug-related issues. The course includes a 22-question self-administered screening to assess alcohol and drug use.

All instructors are licensed and trained by the State of Tennessee and the Prevention Research Institute, ensuring that participants receive the most current and effective education. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive a certificate on the same day, and necessary documents will be forwarded to the appropriate authorities, such as the Clerk, Sheriff's Department, or Probation Officer, the following day. Smoking and the use of tobacco products, including vaping, are prohibited during the program. Participants are required to provide their own food, and if they need to reschedule, they must notify the academy at least 48 hours in advance, as fees are non-refundable.
