New Hope offers the Texas Drug Offender Education Program (TDOEP), a crucial resource for individuals facing misdemeanor or felony drug offenses in Texas. As per Section 521.371-521.377 of the Texas Transportation Code, individuals with such convictions face automatic six-month license suspensions unless they complete a state-approved education program on drug and alcohol abuse dangers. New Hope is certified by the Texas Department of State Health Services as a Drug Offender Program, with certification number DOEP1378 and Program Administrator Clausell Stokes. Our program spans 15 hours and aims to educate participants on the perils of drug use, abuse, and the process of behavior change. Led by experienced instructors, our courses cover a range of topics, including the Texas Schedule of Penalties, the history of drug use and abuse, HIV and AIDS, the effects of drugs on the body, addiction, and the societal impact of drug abuse. Whether mandated by the courts, the Texas Department of Public Safety, or employers, our program equips individuals with the knowledge and tools necessary for positive lifestyle changes and personal enrichment.
