At Metis Counseling & Wellness LLC, we prioritize the holistic well-being of individuals by addressing not only the mind but the entire person. One of our key offerings is the Drug Offender Education Program (DOEP), a 15-hour, in-person course designed for individuals who have been court-ordered to attend as part of their rehabilitation process. As a certified provider (#1784), we deliver this standardized program with the goal of increasing participants' understanding of drug abuse and its consequences. The course covers a wide range of topics, including the history of drug use, relevant laws, the physiological and psychological effects of drugs, and the social and personal costs associated with drug abuse. Participants will also explore critical issues such as health risks, including HIV, and the impact of drug use on interpersonal relationships.
The DOEP emphasizes self-reflection and personal responsibility, helping participants identify their own patterns of drug use and develop personalized action plans to reduce the likelihood of future substance abuse and illegal activities. Through this program, we aim to empower individuals to take control of their lives and make informed, positive decisions that support long-term wellness.
