DWI Basic Education

Our Texas State Certified DWI Basic Education Program is designed for individuals convicted of misdemeanor or felony drug offenses, particularly those with a first-time DWI conviction. The standardized 12-hour program, certified by the Texas Department of State Health Services, includes three 4-hour educational sessions typically completed over three days. The curriculum covers DWI as a social problem, the law, client hostilities toward the criminal justice system, physical and psychological effects of alcohol, problem drinking and alcoholism, and decision-making with a plan to prevent future DWI behavior. The program costs $80 if paid in cash on the day of the session, or $85 if paid online.

Repeat DWI Intervention (ROP)

The Texas State Certified Repeat DWI Intervention (ROP) program is tailored for individuals convicted of two or more DWIs, as well as some first-time offenders. This 30-45 hour program includes an orientation session followed by fifteen 2 to 3-hour sessions offered once or twice a week. Certified by the Texas Department of State Health Services, this program addresses issues not covered in the Basic DWI program, targeting prevention of further substance abuse problems. The curriculum's first six sessions focus on basic life issues such as stress, values, self-esteem, positive thinking, irrational beliefs, goal setting, and responsibility. Subsequent sessions address the physical and mental effects of substances, alcoholism, and drug addiction. Sessions nine and ten involve participants and their families, discussing family dynamics, co-dependency, and family self-help groups. The final sessions provide information on treatment options, self-help groups, relapse prevention, goal setting, and action planning. The program costs $250 if paid upfront, or four payments of $80.
