XitDWI Services is a Texas state-approved provider of DWI Education Classes, certified by the Texas Department of State Health Services. As mandated by Article 42.12, Section 13(h) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, individuals convicted of a first offense DWI and placed on probation must attend and successfully complete an educational program certified by the Texas Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse.
Failure to complete the program within 180 days (unless an extension is granted) from the date probation was granted will result in the revocation of the offender's license. The license cannot be reinstated until the educational program is completed. The standardized program spans 12 hours and aims to enhance DWI offenders' understanding of alcohol and drugs in relation to driving skills. It also helps participants identify their own drinking/drug use and driving patterns and assists them in developing plans to reduce the likelihood of future DWI behavior.
