Bastrop County Community Supervision and Corrections Department (CSCD) oversees probation for the 21st, 335th, and 423rd Judicial Districts. Under the directorship of Donna Damon, their vision is to be a leader in offender rehabilitation, recidivism reduction, and community safety enhancement by effectively utilizing available resources.
Bastrop CSCD's mission is to facilitate positive changes in offenders' lives while holding them accountable to probation conditions, resulting in a safer community. Their core values emphasize serving the courts, offenders and community with ethical, professional supervision and rehabilitative services aimed at restoring offenders to law-abiding citizens. They collaborate with local resources to provide excellence in victim restoration through restorative justice.
Among the programs offered are court-mandated DWI classes, including courses conducted in Spanish to meet the needs of offenders under community supervision. By aligning their vision, mission, and values, Bastrop CSCD strives to effectively supervise offenders on probation toward successful rehabilitation and reintegration.
