Our courses, certified by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation - Offender Education Programs, provide essential education for minors and adults with alcohol-related offenses. These programs are designed to increase knowledge, promote safety, and support behavioral change.
Alcohol Awareness Course for Minors: This program is mandated for minors convicted of purchasing, possessing, or consuming alcohol. It must be completed within 90 days of conviction to avoid a license suspension of up to six months. Suitable for DUI-Minor offenders and probation violators under 21 without major substance abuse issues, this two-session course covers societal values, the impact of alcohol advertising, physical and psychological effects, accident risks, relevant laws, and decision-making skills. The goal is to increase awareness and reduce alcohol-related problems among young people.
DWI Education Program: Required for first-time DWI offenders on probation, this 12-hour course must be completed within 180 days to avoid license revocation. It is also appropriate for probation violators with alcohol-related arrests. The program aims to enhance understanding of how alcohol and drugs impair driving skills, identify personal drinking patterns, and develop strategies to prevent future DWI incidents. Topics include traffic safety, Texas DWI laws, effects on driving abilities, chemical dependency, and decision-making.
Intervention Program for Repeat DWI Offenders: This 32-hour course is for individuals with multiple DWI offenses or significant alcohol/drug-related problems. Completion is necessary to prevent license revocation. The program focuses on intervening in abusive lifestyles and encouraging treatment. It covers a wide range of topics, including lifestyle issues, self-esteem, effects of drugs, chemical dependency, family impact, co-dependency, treatment options, relapse prevention, and action planning. The aim is to promote long-term recovery and prevent further substance abuse problems.
