Alcohol Education Services (AES) has been a licensed provider of DWI classes and other court-ordered education programs in Southeast Texas since 2010. AES works closely with local probation departments and attorneys, establishing itself as a preferred vendor. In 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, AES became one of the first Texas providers approved by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) to offer the same state-approved courses remotely via live instructor-led classes.
AES follows the identical curriculum and issues the same Texas certificate of completion as their in-person classes. Their remote classes are regularly monitored to ensure consistency with in-person standards. TDLR has confirmed the remote certificates are accepted by all Texas courts and probation departments.
Many mistakenly believe only in-person classes are allowed, but remote live instructor-led classes using the state curriculum are permitted by law.
