Orchard Mountain Recovery (OMR) offers an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for alcohol and drug addiction treatment in Charlottesville, Virginia. Our program is designed to accommodate your work, family, and other responsibilities by holding sessions in the evening. The OMR IOP is in-network with most insurance providers, making it an accessible and affordable option for those seeking addiction treatment. The program meets three times a week for three sessions, with the frequency decreasing as recovery milestones are achieved.

Our approach emphasizes the power of group counseling to help clients develop effective communication skills and foster meaningful social interactions. In these supportive group settings, participants help and support each other while engaging in rational problem-solving to change dysfunctional beliefs and thinking patterns. The sessions also focus on substance abuse relapse prevention and skills training, providing clients with the tools they need for sustained recovery.

In addition to our IOP, OMR offers a Virginia Alcohol Safety Action Program (VASAP) Intensive Education program, designed for probationers with alcohol or drug-related vehicular charges who are at risk of addiction. This program begins with an initial assessment for clients referred by the James River Commission for VASAP. If deemed appropriate, participants will engage in sessions focused on the relationship between substance abuse and driving, addiction and health, and self-evaluation of substance use. The goal is to empower individuals to make informed decisions about their alcohol and drug use and to encourage positive behavioral changes.
