Family Focus Counseling Services P.C. in Warrenton, Virginia, offers exceptional family counseling services, specializing in clinical services, substance abuse treatments, and violence intervention. Established in 1985 as a private practice and becoming a professional corporation in 1989, we are licensed by the State of Virginia as a substance abuse counseling facility and have a certified batterer intervention program.

Our experienced staff averages over 14 years in the field, with diverse backgrounds that include inpatient treatment for mental health and substance abuse issues, as well as juvenile probation. Our administrative team has over 15 years of experience in accounting and business management, ensuring efficient and supportive operations.

We provide comprehensive substance abuse counseling in Warrenton, Culpeper, and Gainesville, Virginia, with an outpatient program designed to offer immediate and intensive services when necessary. Our goal is to deliver effective, convenient, and cost-efficient treatment compared to inpatient hospitalization.

Our evaluation process includes meetings with the individual and gathering input from family members, referral sources, and other community agencies. We also administer the Substance Abuse Subtle Screening Inventory (SASSI) to assess the severity of the issue and tailor the treatment accordingly.

Individual counseling at Family Focus can help clients deeply examine their substance use and develop a plan for maintaining abstinence. Our treatment planning is done collaboratively with the individual to establish an approach that best meets their needs.

Group counseling is often the preferred treatment choice, offering a cost-effective way to learn, share, and receive emotional support in a trusting environment. For those needing more than the minimum weekly group counseling, our intensive program provides additional group and individual sessions to support abstinence.

Our adolescent program includes group counseling for both the individual and parents, family counseling, and urine screenings. We collaborate closely with parents, schools, and community agencies to provide comprehensive support for adolescents on the road to recovery.
