Mission

Catalyst Recovery and Wellness was established to bridge the gap between traditional substance abuse and mental health treatment. We provide evidence-based, integrative treatments that enhance traditional group and individual therapy with holistic and nutritional therapies, aiming to heal the whole person. Understanding the frustration of chronic relapse and unresolved pain from mental health issues and trauma, we work with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that optimize multiple services for lifelong recovery, health, and wellness. Catalyst strives to make the first step towards change as stress-free as possible, helping you achieve your goals and obtain lifelong wellness. At Catalyst, you can truly Heal, Grow, and Recover!

Philosophy

We view addiction as a biopsychosocial illness that requires comprehensive treatment addressing all aspects of the illness. We believe effective treatment and recovery are best achieved in a community-based, coordinated system of services. Our multidisciplinary approach ensures that mental illness and substance abuse are treated with a holistic perspective. Recognizing chemical dependency as a progressive and chronic relapsing brain disease, we focus on how it affects the body, mind, emotions, family, workplace, and community. Our strength-based treatment approach utilizes motivational enhancement therapy principles.

Goals

  • Help clients recognize and understand their symptoms
  • Achieve client abstinence from alcohol and other drugs
  • Reduce interpersonal distress related to symptoms
  • Empower clients to communicate their needs and wants effectively
  • Teach new skills for interacting with family, work, and community
  • Develop adaptive peer and social interactions
  • Promote healthy medication management
  • Educate clients about substance abuse, mental illness, and co-occurring disorders
  • Improve acceptance of the need for ongoing treatment
  • Reduce hospitalization or re-hospitalization
  • Enhance social and interpersonal skills
  • Encourage constructive use of leisure time

Services

We provide treatment in a supportive, accepting, and safe environment, focusing on the client as the center of our services. Believing that everyone has basic needs such as health, well-being, friendship, respect, and continuous personal growth, our clinical treatment team determines the appropriate level of care using guidelines set by the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM).
