Who We Are
BECAUSE WE CARE II, INC. serves adults and children with mental health disorders in Virginia through group, family, and individual counseling. Our program focuses on mental health skill-building for those with mental health disorders and developmental disabilities, aiming to help individuals reach their maximum physical, social, emotional, and intellectual potential. Our ultimate goal is to empower individuals to acquire skills that enable them to function as independently as possible.
Our Mission
Our mission is to empower and foster hope by repairing and rebuilding broken relationships while bridging the gap between home and community. We teach strategies and techniques to improve mental health, physical health, independence, and overall well-being, allowing individuals to live in the least restrictive environment appropriate to their needs.
Our Vision
We strive to be the most trusted behavioral health care provider in Virginia and surrounding communities.
Substance Abuse Treatment ASAM Level 2.1 Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Our ASAM Level 2.1 Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) offers structured group treatment to individuals aged 18 and up, diagnosed with a substance use disorder. This program provides education and support three days a week, three hours per day. Each participant undergoes an assessment, and an individualized service plan is developed to support their recovery goals. The program teaches about addiction, its consequences, and strategies to regain control over one’s life. Upon successful completion, individuals transition to lower-level services (ASAM 1.0 Individual Counseling) and peer support services to strengthen their long-term recovery and independence.
BECAUSE WE CARE II, INC. is an approved provider for Virginia ASAP (VASAP), offering assessments and necessary services for those mandated to participate in substance use disorder programs. Participants receive a certificate upon successful completion.
