At GMA Interventions, we utilize the Ecological Model of Care, which recognizes that individual behavior is influenced by multiple levels of systems, including families, neighborhoods, communities, and cultural contexts. This comprehensive approach acknowledges that behavior health disparities often stem from complex interactions across these various levels, and that traditional interventions focusing solely on individual health are often inadequate. Instead, we offer multilevel interventions that address these complexities, supported by empirical evidence and a growing consensus on their effectiveness.

Our team of Masters-level Certified Substance Abuse Counselors (CSACs) and licensed addiction professionals in Virginia provide a range of services, including substance abuse assessments, counseling, and education. We employ proven clinical modalities such as Motivational Enhancement, 12-Step programs, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in our weekly group sessions. Our programs include substance abuse assessments, treatment planning, on-site drug testing, drug and alcohol evaluations, relapse prevention planning, and linkage to additional support services.

In addition to individual and group counseling, GMA offers a psycho-educational program designed to educate individuals at risk and their families about substance abuse, including its disease concept, effects, and the stages of change. We also provide relapse prevention support for those who have completed treatment. Our services are available in Spanish to accommodate a diverse client base. At GMA Interventions, we are committed to addressing the full spectrum of influences on individual behavior to provide effective, holistic care.
