Coastal Virginia Mental Health Services provides compassionate and comprehensive mental health care to the Hampton Roads area, offering personalized therapy and counseling services to individuals, couples, families, and groups. Whether you're dealing with relationship issues, seeking personal growth, navigating family dynamics, or looking for group therapy, our team of certified counselors tailors services to meet your unique needs.

Our offerings include couples counseling to strengthen relationships, individual counseling for personal development, family counseling to promote harmony, and group counseling for shared experiences and peer support. For those requiring structured support without full-time hospitalization, our Intensive Outpatient Counseling Program (IOP) addresses a wide range of mental health issues in a flexible setting, allowing clients to maintain daily routines while receiving focused care.

We also provide VASAP evaluations, which are thorough assessments conducted by certified substance abuse counselors for individuals involved in DUI or other alcohol/drug-related offenses. These evaluations assess the individual's risk to public safety, inform treatment recommendations, and ensure compliance with court-ordered requirements.

Our IOP program, running four days a week with three-hour sessions, combines evidence-based therapies and personalized care plans to meet each participant's unique needs. The program includes group therapy for peer support, individual counseling for personalized attention, psychoeducational workshops, and skills training in areas such as coping strategies and mindfulness. By integrating therapeutic approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), we ensure adaptable treatment that supports participants on their journey to mental wellness.
