Pioneer Counseling-Emerson Clinic offers comprehensive recovery support services for adults dealing with substance use disorders and mental health issues. The clinic is open to all, welcoming walk-ins and providing both in-person and telehealth services. With a focus on intensive outpatient programs (IOP), the clinic tailors treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each client, including those with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Additionally, a peer specialist is available to assist clients with community resources such as supportive housing and employment.

The clinic plays a pivotal role in supporting individuals involved in the Spokane County Therapeutic Drug Court program. This program serves pre-conviction clients with felonies linked to substance use, many of whom also struggle with mental health conditions. Over the course of a year, the counseling staff works with over 100 patients, offering a range of support services including housing, transportation, childcare, and peer mentoring. Successful completion of the program can lead to the dismissal of felony charges related to substance use.

Pioneer Counseling-Emerson Clinic also provides services to clients in the Spokane County Therapeutic Felony Mental Health Court and those on federal probation. The clinic offers assessments, intensive outpatient treatment, and urine screening for over 100 patients on federal probation. The curriculum includes evidence-based programs like Seeking Safety and Thinking for Change, along with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) services available through Abilia. With a commitment to accessible care, the clinic also offers a full telehealth recovery program, allowing clients to receive treatment from the comfort of their own homes.
