The DUI program requires in-person registration and participation, with enrollees required to sign up in the county where they live, work, or attend school, unless an exception has been granted by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV). The cost for Level I enrollment is $322, and Level II is $482. Participants must also pay a $16 fee for a Florida driver license. Payment can be made via cash, check, or card (with an additional fee for credit/debit cards).
To enroll, individuals must provide proof of residency, a photo ID, and are encouraged to bring the following: their DUI ticket, blood alcohol content readings or a statement of refusal, a recent lifetime driving record from Florida and any other states where they held a license, the arrest affidavit, and all relevant court documents. Copies of all paperwork are required, and if not provided, documents must be obtained from the county clerkâs office where the DUI was issued. The enrollment process takes approximately 45 minutes to an hour.
Additionally, the Special Supervision Services (SSS) program offers certain individuals the opportunity to obtain a hardship license. To register, applicants need a letter from the Bureau of Administrative Review, a photo ID, and must pay a $346 fee. Like the DUI program, SSS enrollees must register in the county where they live, work, or attend school, unless an exception has been granted by the DHSMV.
