Lakeview Center’s DUI program serves residents of Escambia and Santa Rosa counties, aiming to prevent substance misuse and support recovery. Licensed by the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV), the program offers certified instructors, evaluators, and clinical supervisors. The program is designed for individuals convicted of Driving Under the Influence (DUI), those required to attend by the DHSMV or the court, individuals with administrative driver’s license suspensions, and those seeking voluntary enrollment after arrest but before conviction.
The DUI program requires participants to live, work, or study in Escambia or Santa Rosa counties, though exceptions are made with written permission from neighboring programs. Classes incorporate lectures, discussions, videos, and homework assignments to address DUI laws, the effects of alcohol and drugs on the body, social drinking patterns, and strategies to prevent future DUIs.
The program offers two levels of courses. The Level I course, designed for first-time offenders, spans 12 hours and costs $340 (or $324 if the student provides their driving record). The Level II course is a 21-hour program for individuals with multiple DUI offenses or prior program attendance. The cost is $500 (or $484 with a driving record provided by the student). Classes are available in Pensacola and Milton, Florida, and additional fees apply for rescheduling or re-enrollment. All fees are non-refundable. The program also offers special supervision services and ignition interlock interventions to help ensure compliance and safety.
