Advocate DUI Program of Monroe County, Inc.

Established in 1995, this program, licensed by the Department of Highway and Motor Vehicles, serves first-time and repeat DUI offenders in Miami-Dade and Monroe counties. The program provides substance abuse evaluations, education, and referrals for counseling. There are two course levels offered. Level I is for individuals with one alcohol- or drug-related traffic arrest or conviction in their lifetime, while Level II is for those with multiple arrests or convictions or those who have previously attended the Level I course.

Registration for the program can be completed via telephone, mail, or email, with forms available in both English and Spanish. Required registration documents include proof of identification, the arrest citation, arrest affidavit, court documentation (if available), a current lifetime driving record, and payment of course fees. The program accepts various forms of payment, including cash, checks, money orders, and major credit cards, and offers installment plans.

Additionally, the program includes a M.A.D.D. Victim Impact Panel (VIP) to educate offenders on the consequences of irresponsible driving on victims, families, and the community. The VIP session is mandatory for some drivers, and pre-registration is required.
