DUI Program Overview

The DUI (Driving Under the Influence) Program at Pathways offers essential services for individuals convicted of substance-related driving offenses, adhering to Kentucky Revised Statutes and Administrative Regulations. Serving a ten-county area, the program provides comprehensive assessments by certified professionals, along with tailored treatment plans to address each individual's needs. Participants have access to various services, including crisis support, residential recovery units, case management, and both 20-hour educational and outpatient counseling programs. These services are available bi-weekly in Boyd and Rowan counties, and individuals can either self-refer or be referred through the legal system.

In addition to DUI services, Pathways also offers an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) designed for individuals requiring more intensive treatment for substance use disorders. This program features therapeutic group counseling, with participants meeting at least six hours weekly over a minimum of 24 sessions. The curriculum follows the Matrix Model, an evidence-based approach that emphasizes early recovery skills, relapse prevention, and group therapy. Participants engage in readings, complete handouts, and partake in interactive activities to enhance their recovery journey. Comprehensive assessments and individualized treatment plans are conducted prior to entering the IOP, ensuring that each client's unique needs are addressed. IOP services are available across several counties, including Bath, Carter, Greenup, Lawrence, Montgomery, and Rowan.
