Family Guidance Center - Substance Use Disorder Services
Family Guidance Center offers comprehensive support for individuals struggling with substance use disorders. Understanding addiction as a medical condition that impacts not only the individual but also their families and communities, the center provides a range of evidence-based interventions to promote recovery. Services include individual and group therapy, trauma therapy, community support, peer support, and medication-assisted treatment.
A key program offered is the Substance Abuse Traffic Offender Program (SATOP), which is designed for individuals who have been involved in alcohol or drug-related traffic offenses. This risk-reduction initiative is often court-mandated and includes structured interventions such as counseling and educational sessions. SATOP helps participants understand the consequences of substance use while equipping them with the tools needed for long-term change.
In addition to SATOP, Family Guidance Center provides Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for individuals struggling with alcohol and drug dependencies. FDA-approved medications such as Vivitrol or Suboxone may be used as part of a structured treatment plan to support recovery. Those eligible for MAT are referred through individual counseling sessions.
For individuals facing both mental health challenges and substance use disorders, Co-Occurring Disorder Services offer specialized support to improve family relationships, employment stability, and overall well-being. The center also addresses other behavioral health concerns through programs such as Compulsive Gambling Services, which provides therapy to those experiencing gambling-related challenges.
Family Guidance Center strives to make services accessible to all, regardless of financial status. Medicaid, Medicare, and some private insurance plans are accepted, and cost subsidies may be available based on eligibility. The center remains committed to helping individuals regain control of their lives through compassionate, professional care.
