Dismas House of KC offers certified Intensive Outpatient and Supported Recovery programs through the Missouri Department of Mental Health, focusing on substance abuse treatment and recovery. The Substance Awareness Traffic Offender Programs (SATOP) emphasize personalized care and structured progression through comprehensive assessments, including the Addictions Severity Index (ASI), mental health screenings, and drug screenings as needed. Evaluations result in tailored treatment recommendations to meet individual needs.
The Intensive Outpatient Program (Level 2) is designed for individuals with significant addiction severity or recent substance use, requiring at least 90 hours of treatment over a minimum of six weeks. Participants engage in weekly sessions, including individual therapy, group support, and recovery services, with flexibility for extenuating circumstances. The program ensures personalized care with weekly individual sessions and reassessments to adapt the level of care as needed.
The Supported Recovery Program (Level 4) is a less intensive option, requiring a minimum of 50 hours over 10 weeks. It caters to individuals needing intervention but with a lower level of risk, offering consistent group sessions and monthly individual meetings.
The program is structured into phases, starting with a four-week orientation to establish treatment goals and conduct screenings, followed by intermediate and completion phases. Graduation requires fulfilling all program requirements, completing a final drug screening, and attending two Winner’s Circle sessions to receive a completion certificate.
Dismas House also provides specialized certificates for substance abuse, domestic violence, and anger management. Each program has distinct requirements, and participants may enroll in multiple programs simultaneously, ensuring comprehensive care tailored to individual circumstances. The organization’s client-centered approach and structured support foster long-term recovery and accountability.
