Substance Awareness Traffic Offender Programs (SATOP) at PFH

Preferred Alcohol & Support Technologies (P.A.S.T.), a division of PFH, provides comprehensive services for individuals facing alcohol or drug-related traffic offenses. As a certified SATOP provider in Missouri, PFH offers all levels of care required to meet legal obligations and promote responsible decision-making.

The SATOP process begins with an Offender Management Unit (OMU) assessment, which determines the appropriate program for each individual. This assessment costs $375 and must be completed before enrollment in a program.

PFH offers several SATOP programs tailored to different offense levels. The Serious and Repeat Offender Program (SROP) is a 90-day outpatient program for repeat offenders, featuring 35 hours of group counseling, 30 hours of education, and 10 hours of individualized counseling. The cost varies from $250 to $1,500 based on the Department of Mental Health’s Standard Means Test. The Offender Education Program (OEP) is a 10-hour course focusing on the effects of alcohol on driving, signs of chemical dependency, and available resources for support. The Weekend Intervention Program (WIP) is an intensive 48-hour program designed primarily for second-time DWI offenders. The Clinical Intervention Program (CIP) is a 6-8 week outpatient program for persistent DWI offenders, consisting of 50 total hours of counseling and education.

For those who have completed treatment at an accredited agency, PFH can process a SATOP Comparable Form to ensure compliance with Missouri requirements.

PFH is committed to empowering individuals by providing structured, supportive programs that help them meet legal requirements and make positive changes.
