The Intoxicated Driver Resource Center (IDRC) provides a comprehensive 12-hour educational program for individuals convicted of offenses related to operating under the influence. Starting June 1, 2023, the Middlesex IDRC class will be held in-person at Middlesex College in Edison. Participants are required to pay a fee of $264 online before attending the class. The IDRC program addresses various offenses, including refusal of breathalyzer tests, underage drinking, and drunk boating. Based on screening results, participants may be referred for further substance use treatment, with the IDRC overseeing compliance.
Classes are scheduled to take place on two consecutive days from 4 PM to 10 PM in the Brunswick Room of Crabiel Hall. Attendees must arrive by 3:45 PM for registration, as late arrivals will not be admitted. It's important to bring a photo ID, the class fee, and a brown bag dinner, as there will be a 45-minute dinner break. Parking is available in designated lots, and local buses provide access to the college.
Middlesex College maintains a smoke-free environment, and in case of cancellations due to inclement weather, participants will be notified of a new class date by mail within a week. For additional information regarding directions and college policies, attendees are encouraged to consult the Middlesex College website.
