The Intoxicated Driver Resource Center (IDRC) is managed by the Ocean County Health Department, located at 175 Sunset Avenue in Toms River, New Jersey. This program serves residents convicted of alcohol or drug-related motor vehicle violations, providing essential education and screening interventions. Clients are referred by their trial judges to complete either a 12 or 48-hour program, depending on the severity and number of offenses. Following the program, clients may be directed to an affiliated agency for comprehensive assessments and must adhere to any recommended treatment to restore their driving privileges.
The IDRC also offers flexible payment options, including credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, and Discover) for the program fee of $264, along with cash payments. Please note that a 3.5% service charge applies to credit card transactions. Participants are required to bring a brown bag lunch and a non-alcoholic beverage, and entry into the class is strictly limited to those who arrive before 9:00 AM with a valid photo ID. Children are not allowed on the premises, and all clients may undergo chemical testing.
For clients who need assistance in Spanish, the IDRC offers support during regular business hours. Additional details, including directions and class information, can be accessed through the Ocean County Health Department's website. The IDRC is committed to helping individuals navigate their path towards compliance and safe driving.
