Steuben County Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (SCASAS) is a medically supervised outpatient program certified by the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS). With locations in Bath, Corning, and Hornell, SCASAS provides comprehensive treatment for individuals and families affected by alcoholism and substance use disorders.

The multidisciplinary team at SCASAS includes Qualified Healthcare Professionals such as Medical Doctors, Psychiatrists, Registered Nurses, Licensed Master Social Workers, and NYS Certified Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselors (CASACs). This diverse team works collaboratively to assess and treat both adolescents and adults struggling with substance abuse issues.

SCASAS accepts referrals from a wide range of sources, including individuals, family members, employers, attorneys, hospitals, detox and inpatient programs, the Department of Social Services, community service agencies, and the Criminal Justice system, including courts, probation, and parole departments. The program is also certified by New York State to conduct Impaired Driver evaluations and provide the necessary treatment for individuals seeking to regain their driver’s license.

Treatment at SCASAS is tailored to the specific needs of each individual, utilizing both individual and group therapy to educate clients on addiction and recovery. The program is accessible to a broad population, accepting Medicaid/Fidelis, third-party insurance, and offering a sliding scale fee for those without insurance. SCASAS is committed to providing compassionate, effective care to help individuals overcome addiction and lead healthier lives.
