Providing Culturally Competent Care to Individuals & Groups
From the Ashes offers comprehensive services designed to support individuals in Buncombe County and its surrounding areas who seek education, supervision, or treatment for substance use and mental health issues. Committed to fostering self-awareness, the organization implements various programs and collaborates closely with community partners and stakeholders to deliver high-quality care.
Key services include Alcohol and Drug/DWI-DWLR assessments, which are essential for individuals convicted of DWI in North Carolina, as these assessments are prerequisites for obtaining limited driving privileges. The center also provides individual and group therapy for substance use disorders, ensuring clients receive the necessary counseling, education, and support. Additionally, the Alcohol and Drug Education Traffic School (ADETS) serves those involved in DWI cases or at risk for substance use disorders.
Anger management programs are available, focusing on behavioral strategies to help participants identify and manage anger and stress over 12 weeks. For Commercial Driver's License (CDL) holders, From the Ashes offers DOT SAP services, providing evaluations and treatment plans for those who test positive for substances while on duty. Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) further aids individuals within the criminal justice system, addressing the moral implications of substance use.
The organization emphasizes the importance of clinical supervision to enhance client care quality, ensuring staff can effectively manage various clinical situations. From the Ashes is dedicated to addressing both the public health crisis of addiction and the root causes of these issues, particularly within black and diverse communities, while promoting collaboration with other local substance use programs.
