Phoenix Counseling Center offers comprehensive mental health and substance use outpatient services to the communities of Cleveland, Gaston, and Lincoln County. With a commitment to accessibility, the center does not deny services based on the inability to pay and accepts various insurances, including NC Medicaid, BCBS, Aetna, Humana, Cigna, and Tri-Care.

The Substance Abuse Comprehensive Outpatient Treatment (SACOT) program serves adults with a time commitment of 20 hours per week over an average treatment duration of 8 to 12 weeks. This program focuses on reducing substance use, improving family functioning, and fostering a supportive social network while enhancing educational and vocational skills. Services include individual and group counseling, family support, relapse prevention strategies, and life skills training.

Additionally, the Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Treatment (SAIOP) program caters to both adults and adolescents, requiring a commitment of 9 hours per week for a similar duration of 8 to 12 weeks. This program emphasizes similar goals, such as reducing substance use and understanding the nature of addictive diseases, while also providing individual, group, and family counseling. Both programs are designed to support individuals with co-occurring mental health disorders or intellectual and developmental disabilities, ensuring tailored treatment plans that promote recovery and long-term success.
