DWI Assessments Overview

Our DWI assessment services provide confidential evaluations aimed at understanding the impact of alcohol on driving behavior. Assessments cost $100, with an additional fee of $10.75 for obtaining your driving record if necessary. Typically lasting between 60 to 90 minutes, each assessment includes a clinical interview and a review of your driving record along with other relevant factors. To complete the assessment, you will need to present a copy of your ticket, a BAC report (if available), and your driving record, which can be accessed directly from the NC DMV.

Once the assessment is completed, it remains valid for six months, as per state regulations. If treatment recommendations are not initiated within this timeframe, you will need to undergo another assessment and incur additional fees. Recommendations from the assessment do not expire based on court dates, and it is advisable to begin treatment soon after the assessment, even if it occurs before trial.
