Services Available at CosTran

CosTran offers a range of services rooted in the Cognitive-Behavioral Model (CBT), utilizing evidence-based treatment materials. Our programs include Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), PRIME for Life (PFL), and the Change Counseling Program, designed to accommodate various schedules with sessions available during days, evenings, and weekends.

We provide comprehensive assessments for individuals concerned about alcohol or drug use, addressing both legal and personal issues. An assessment typically lasts 1 to 1.5 hours, involving a questionnaire and a discussion with a counselor. Following the assessment, clients receive a written recommendation, which can be forwarded to legal representatives if necessary. Our counselors are committed to collaborating with clients to make informed decisions based on individual circumstances and guidelines from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual IV (DSM IV) and the NC DWI Division.

For those with out-of-state DWI issues, CosTran facilitates the process of removing holds on driver’s licenses for individuals who have relocated after receiving a DWI in North Carolina. We are certified to review and validate assessments and treatments from other states to ensure compliance with North Carolina regulations.

Additionally, we offer the Alcohol Drug Education Traffic School (ADETS), held on weekends, focusing on education and prevention using the PRIME for Life curriculum. This program is designed to meet North Carolina’s ADETS requirements, ensuring participants receive essential knowledge for managing alcohol-related issues. Classes begin with an enrollment session, and the total cost for the ADETS program is $160.
