About Us
Peer Coach Academy (PCA) has been dedicated to providing top-notch recovery coach training since 2015, initially through mentorship by CCAR. Founded by Rod Rushing, who became a CCAR Core Trainer in 2017, PCA has expanded its offerings to include the full CCAR curriculum and trainer development across Colorado. By 2018, PCA extended its reach to Colorado Springs, marking a significant step in enhancing collaborations with other agencies and broadening the scope of services. With offices in downtown Colorado Springs and Five Points, Denver, PCA has further evolved by establishing transitional homes for individuals with serious mental illness in 2022. These privately contracted homes reflect our commitment to deepening our support and understanding.
Operating under the name EmbarkPCA, we embrace the idea of "embarking on a new journey," symbolizing our dedication to collaboration and service across the state and beyond. We firmly believe that recovery extends beyond traditional treatment settings, and therefore, it is crucial to offer recovery resources and support outside of these environments. We are committed to meeting individuals where they are in their recovery process, treating everyone with dignity and respect, and providing diverse recovery support services for individuals to choose from.
