The Green Thumb Initiative (GTI) is dedicated to preventing and reducing unhealthy coping mechanisms and mental and physical illnesses across individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and locations. Through a culturally inclusive approach, GTI aims to promote positive change and improve overall health. Their research demonstrates a significant reduction in substance abuse, anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, and unhealthy coping strategies, while also preventing chronic conditions such as obesity, diabetes, and heart disease.

GTI offers a range of treatment options, including outpatient services, intensive outpatient programs, DUI programs, and recovery support for both adults and youth struggling with substance use disorders. These services are available at their main location or can be provided on-site at residential facilities. GTI also facilitates peer recovery support groups at various locations, including Barnes & Noble in North Pueblo and Bobby's House in Canon City.

To ensure that everyone has access to care, GTI provides a Sliding Fee Discount Program for those who may have financial difficulties or whose insurance doesn’t fully cover the cost of treatment. This program considers income and family size to determine eligibility for discounted services, ensuring that individuals can receive the help they need regardless of their financial situation. GTI is committed to providing quality mental health and substance use disorder treatment to all individuals in need.
