Valley-Wide Health Systems, Inc. is dedicated to delivering high-quality, safe, and effective integrated health care services with a respectful and inclusive approach, especially for medically underserved populations. Recognizing the often-overlooked importance of behavioral health, Valley-Wide aims to address the needs of the more than 25 percent of American adults who experience a behavioral health disorder each year. These issues are closely linked to chronic illnesses, and managing them can significantly enhance both mental and physical well-being.

If you find it challenging to manage your emotions or cope with everyday life, Valley-Wide's behavioral health services may provide the support you need. By addressing behavioral health problems, you can improve your overall quality of life. Valley-Wide Health Systems offers two options for behavioral healthcare to meet diverse patient needs:

Integrated Services: These services are provided during a regularly scheduled appointment with your primary care provider at no additional cost. If you express interest in discussing mental health concerns, a behavioral health provider will take over the appointment to address your needs. This seamless integration ensures that your mental health is considered alongside your physical health, providing a holistic approach to your well-being.

Outpatient Services: These services involve separate appointments with a behavioral health provider, allowing for more focused and specialized care.

Valley-Wide also clarifies the distinction between behavioral health and mental health. Mental health focuses solely on a person’s psychological state, while behavioral health encompasses a broader range of issues, including physical habits like eating, exercise, and alcohol consumption, alongside mental struggles.

By offering both integrated and outpatient behavioral health services, Valley-Wide Health Systems ensures that patients have access to comprehensive care that addresses both their mental and physical health needs. Through this holistic approach, Valley-Wide is committed to improving the overall well-being of its patients and providing essential support to those in need.
