At A Good Life Counseling, we offer comprehensive Level I and Level II education and therapy classes for individuals dealing with DUI charges.
Level I Education consists of six individual sessions, each lasting one hour and completed over six weeks. These one-on-one sessions are conducted by our licensed and experienced counselors.
Level II Education involves 24 hours of DUI education spread over 12 weeks. Conducted typically in a group setting, each class is limited to around 12 participants to ensure a focused and interactive environment. Level II Education may be recommended alone or followed by Level II Therapy.
Level II Therapy follows Level II Education and can range from 5 to 10 months in duration, depending on the assigned track. Track assignments consider prior impaired driving offenses, BAC levels, and other clinical indicators, determined by an alcohol evaluator (probation) or the treatment agency. The tracks are as follows:
- Track A: 42 hours over 21 weeks, for first-time offenders with a BAC below .15.
- Track B: 52 hours over 26 weeks, for first-time offenders with a BAC of .15 or above.
- Track C: 68 hours over 34 weeks, for prior DWAI/DUI offenders with a BAC below .15.
- Track D: 86 hours over 43 weeks, for prior DWAI/DUI offenders with a BAC of .15 or above.
Our founder, Angela Bastille, began her journey as an intern at AAA Treatment Center, founded in 2006 by Roy Rall. With over 30 years of experience, Roy inspired Angela with his compassionate approach to counseling. In 2011, Angela took over for Roy and established A Good Life Counseling. As a certified addiction counselor with a BA in psychology and over 15 years of experience, Angela is dedicated to helping DUI clients.
Our culturally competent team works with all ages and backgrounds, offering a variety of classes tailored to meet individual needs. We aim to support clients through court-ordered or voluntary sessions with dignity and respect. Our goal is to make the process as smooth as possible, providing rewarding classes that equip clients with valuable life skills and a sense of accomplishment.
