Crossroads’ Turning Points, Inc. is Southern Colorado’s largest agency for alcohol and drug prevention, intervention, and substance use disorder treatment. Established in 1979, Crossroads provides a full spectrum of evidence-based services across twenty-two counties. Specializing in heroin and opioid addiction, the organization offers comprehensive care, including withdrawal management, residential and outpatient treatment, and Medication-Assisted Treatment. As a nonprofit 501(c)3, Crossroads is licensed by the state of Colorado and delivers extensive prevention, intervention, and co-occurring treatment services.
The agency offers a wide range of programs, including offender services, DUI education, outpatient and intensive outpatient care, residential treatment, and opioid replacement therapy such as methadone. Special programs are available for women, pregnant women, and other specific populations.
Prospective clients can expect respectful and confidential care from highly trained staff. Crossroads strives to maintain minimal waiting times, aiming to schedule appointments within two weeks of the initial call. The first appointment typically lasts about two hours, during which a comprehensive assessment is conducted. Based on this assessment, clients are advised on the most suitable programs and set personalized treatment goals with their counselor. The agency provides individual, group, and family therapy sessions, ensuring that treatment plans are tailored to each client's unique needs. Progress is regularly assessed, and a detailed discharge summary is prepared at the end of the treatment program.
