DUI Education and Treatment
Have you been arrested for driving under the influence? Start classes now—it may help with your situation. Starting Today offers licensed Level I and Level II DUI Education and Therapy treatment programs, providing the forms needed to get your license reinstated.
Program Overview “Level I and Level II Education, Therapy, or Treatment” refers to approved alcohol and drug driving safety education or treatment programs as defined by Colorado state law. These programs are designed to help individuals understand the risks associated with impaired driving and support their recovery.
Interlock Enhancement Counseling For those enrolled in Track B, C, or D with an interlock device installed in their vehicle, enhancement counseling is available. This can reduce the duration of classes by five weeks. Additionally, there is an option to save $10 each month on interlock costs—ask for more details.
Enrollment Information It's beneficial to enroll in classes prior to sentencing. The number of classes required is determined by your Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) and prior offenses. If this is your first offense and your BAC is unknown, starting with Level II Education is recommended. This program spans 12 weeks. Although Level I Education is available, most individuals will need to complete Level II.
Level II Education Level II Education classes are conducted via Zoom once a week for 12 weeks. A reliable internet connection and a private, interruption-free location are necessary. Multiple class times are available, but they fill up quickly. Evening and weekend options include:
- Thursday at 5 pm
- Sunday at 3 pm
Level II Therapy Level II Therapy is segmented into tracks based on BAC levels and prior offenses:
- Track A: 42 hours for individuals with no priors and a BAC < .15
- Track B: 52 hours for first offenses with a BAC > .15 or a refusal
For those with prior offenses:
- Track C: 68 hours for a BAC < .15
- Track D: 86 hours for a BAC > .15 or a refusal
Available therapy class times are:
- Thursday at 7 pm
- Sunday at 5 pm
